Pedalling for a Purpose: Flotek’s Charity Ride from St Asaph to Bridgend

Join Flotek’s Charity Cycle: June 7th 2025, Swansea to Tenby

This June, our IT support team is swapping keyboards for handlebars as Flotek takes on a charity cycle ride from Swansea to Tenby – a 60-mile challenge along some of the most scenic routes in South West Wales.

The ride takes place on Saturday 7th June 2025, and it’s all in aid of two fantastic causes: Kidney Wales and Cancer Research UK.

The Route

Starting in Swansea, the route heads west through the Gower Peninsula and along the Carmarthenshire coast before finishing in the harbour town of Tenby in Pembrokeshire. It’s a mix of coastal roads, country lanes, and a few challenging climbs – but with stunning views to keep everyone going.

The full route is approximately 60 miles and suitable for confident cyclists of all levels. There will be rest stops along the way with refreshments and support vehicles.

Who’s Riding?

We’ve got a growing team of riders from across Flotek, including engineers, account managers, and senior leadership. CEO Jay Ball will be among the riders, alongside colleagues from our offices in South Wales, North Wales, and beyond.

But it’s not just for Flotek staff – we’re inviting partners, clients, and friends to join the ride too. The more riders, the more we raise.

The Charities

Kidney Wales supports people across Wales affected by kidney disease, funding research, patient support, and awareness campaigns.

Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading cancer research charity, dedicated to saving lives through groundbreaking science.

Both causes are close to the hearts of our team, and we’re proud to be raising funds for them.
