What the scan checks
• Is your email protected? Whether the settings that tell Gmail and Outlook who can send as you are in place and switched on.
• Is it proven to be yours? Whether your genuine email carries the stamp that proves nobody tampered with it.
• Who else is sending in your name? Whether fake email in your name would be delivered, sent to spam, or blocked.
• Your score out of 100, and how your domain compares with the others we test.
Why it matters
Since 2024, Google, Yahoo and Microsoft have required businesses to prove their email is theirs. Around 85% of business domains still have no protection, 1 in 6 genuine business emails never reaches the inbox, and 64.6% of businesses say email not arriving has cost them sales or customers.
The second problem is impersonation. Fake invoices and "our bank details have changed" emails look exactly like they came from you, and your spam filter does nothing about mail going out with your name on it. UK businesses lost £1.17bn to payment fraud in 2024. Only your domain's own settings can stop it.
What happens after the scan
If your domain passes everything, brilliant. Nothing to do.
