What is Simple Switch?

Simple Switch lets us move your business broadband from your current supplier to Flotek with no disconnection and no engineer visit. The line moves across. Your business stays online.

It works across all broadband line types, so whatever connection you have today, it can come across the same way.

This isn't a pilot. After a quiet three-month trial behind the scenes, every broadband migration we carry out has used Simple Switch since 1 October 2026.

How it works, in plain English

Most broadband connections log on using a username and password stored in your router. When you change supplier, those details have to change too. That means reconfiguring the router at exactly the right moment, and if the timing slips, you're offline.

Simple Switch works differently. Instead of relying on login details, we recognise the connection by its line identifier. In other words, we authenticate the line itself, not the router. Whatever is plugged in at your end, we pick it up and bring it across. Nothing needs changing on site.

Your existing router will still work

Even an old BT router will keep running after the switch. We wouldn't recommend staying on it long term. If your business takes cyber security seriously, a proper business-grade firewall is the better move. But it means switching never costs you service, and you can upgrade on your own timescale rather than ours.

The same applies when we upgrade your broadband technology later. In most cases your existing hardware will carry on working. If you want the full benefit of faster speeds, newer kit may be needed, but older equipment will usually just run at a lower speed rather than stop altogether.
