Two more new starters join the Purple Army

The Purple Army continues to grow, with more talent joining the team and strengthening what we're building at Flotek.

Here's a closer look at two of the people making an impact behind the scenes.

Rhiannon Furness – Cyber Essentials Auditor
Rhiannon brings five years of hands-on IT experience to the Cyber team, with a strong background in delivering complex IT projects from start to finish.

Across her career, Rhiannon has carried out server-to-Azure migrations for hundreds of machines, led major multi-site office moves to get IT kit up and running to a high standard, and configured 30-40 firewalls to keep customers protected.

She holds CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+, alongside the MS-900 and AZ-140 Microsoft certifications, giving her a well-rounded technical foundation for her work as a Cyber Essentials Auditor.

Outside of work, Rhiannon plays football for Cardiff Dragons and is about to step into a new role as manager of the second team. She's also a keen runner, having completed the Llanelli Half last year. A passionate Newcastle United fan, she enjoys travelling for Cardiff away days, and her drink of choice is a Gin and Tonic.

Jack Beard – IT Projects Coordinator
Jack joins Flotek in his first professional role after graduating, bringing a strong Computer Science and Cybersecurity portfolio with him.

During his studies, Jack built an OSINT entity disambiguation tool with AI integration, as well as a Student Marketplace web application for his university. He also produced and presented a full dissertation on automating the process of open source intelligence cases using AI and heuristic rules.

Jack holds an NCSC accredited BSc in Computer Science (Cybersecurity) and a Level 3 extended diploma (BTEC) in Information Technology, and is currently studying for his CompTIA Security+.

Outside of work, Jack is a family person who loves the gym, enjoys swimming at the beach in all weather, and is a self-confessed bit of an IT nerd. He's also a keen runner.
